External Manufacturing Manager for Finished Products and Network Strategy (m/f/d)

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Global steering of the external Finished Product supply with regard to technical, regulatory, quality and cost related aspects
  • Ensure external Finished Product supply (with regard to service level and inventories) by appropriate demand planning including starting materials and delivery tracking according QUOTIF KPIs (quality on time in full)
  • Consulting and providing technical support to the Third Party Manufacturer in order to fulfill the respective GMP and regulatory requirements
  • Management of cross-functional project teams e.g. for production transfers, upgrades, Operational Excellence, supplier integration
  • Provide active support to R&D projects with regard to the supplier identification for new APIs and Finished Products
  • Contribute to contract negotiations covering supply chain, manufacturing and quality aspects in alignment with Legal and Procurement functions
  • Development and implementation of external global supply and network optimization strategies in collaboration with Procurement, BD&L and Marketing
  • Provide first level support and guide local organizations by trainings and best practice sharing in implementation of supplier management principles and core processes for APIs and Finished Products (in collaboration with Procurement, SCM and QA)



Who you are

  • University degree in (Bio)Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biotechnology or Engineering (Diplom/Masters or PhD degree)
  • Good knowledge of pharmaceutical product/API manufacturing and related processes (manufacturing technology/logistics/quality assurance and control/product development/ regulatory affairs)
  • Solid background regarding international cGMP requirements (EU, FDA)
  • Good project management skills, experienced in leading and working with international, interdisciplinary and virtual teams
  • Proven experience to work with external partners
  • Readiness to travel and inter-cultural understanding
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written
