Analytical Chemist as Manager External Analytical Development (m/f) - Small Molecules

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Identification, evaluation and selection of external cooperation partners including placement of orders
  • Supervision of work packages at cooperation partners regarding the development of analytical methods, control strategies and
    specifications for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), starting materials and intermediates as well as release of API batches for
    clinical studies
  • Preparation of registration relevant documents for worldwide market authorization including authority requests
  • Responsibility for timely delivery of project compound quantities within global development programs of Bayer Animal Health in close
    collaboration with procurement, pharmaceutical development and other functions
  • Monitoring and performance evaluation of external partners
  • Responsibility for due diligences as Drug Discovery Animal Health (DDAH) representative (m/f) for API and support of license negotiation
    regarding the chemistry, manufacturing and control (CMC) part
  • Team member (m/f) and CMC lead (m/f) in global project teams

 

 

Who you are

  • PhD in chemistry, pharmaceutics or biochemistry
  • Several years of industry experience in analytical development and proven expertise regarding analytical techniques of small molecules,
    preferred in the animal health industry
  • Excellent knowledge regarding analytical methods, method development for API and intermediates under GMP
  • Market understanding and strategic mindset regarding external chemistry services
  • Strong networking and interpersonal relationship skills as well as excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and project management experience
  • Intercultural skills and team-player (m/f) 
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written; German skills would be advantageous
