Bayer has been granted a PRIDE-500 seal in recognition that it provides its LGBT+ employees with an open, inclusive and supportive corporate and organizational culture. That makes us one of Germany’s proudest employers. The PRIDE-500 seal recognizes that Bayer guarantees a non-discriminatory workplace and actively supports all members of the LGBT+ community with a holistic concept and its own measures. STICKS & STONES, the LGBT+ career platform, and the ‘Aktionsbündnis gegen Homophobie e.V.’ (Action alliance against homophobia) bestow the seal upon completion of an audit that assesses employers’ processes, requirements and corporate policy with respect to LGBT+ diversity management.

Germany’s Best Employer 2017

For the first time, Bayer has taken the top spot in the Focus ranking of Germany’s best employers, ahead of Google and Audi. After having ranked first in the chemistry/pharmaceuticals category three times in a row, Bayer is now delighted to have secured first place in the overall ranking which Focus publishes annually in cooperation with Statista, Xing and Kununu on the basis of employee evaluations.

Universum Student Survey 2017

Also in 2017, students in Germany consider Bayer to be one of the most attractive employers. The Universum Student Survey shows students of natural sciences rank Bayer in 2nd place. Students of health and medicine rank it in 4th place, and the Group is placed in 30th position by students studying business, in 40th position by IT students and 17th position by student engineers.

Universum Young Professional Survey 2017

Bayer is one of the most popular employers for young professionals in Germany who are just embarking upon their careers. This has been shown once again by the Universum Young Professional Survey, in which Bayer achieved 3rd place among natural scientists, 20th place among engineers and 15th place among business graduates.

MINT Minded Company 2015

Moreover, Bayer received the MINT Minded Company Award in 2015 for the way it nurtures talented young recruits in the MINT subjects (mathematics, information technology, natural sciences and technology. The jury was impressed with the special way Bayer supports young people in these areas. Bayer is now one of the 47 companies to have received the award in Germany. The term MINT is used in Germany as an equivalent to the english term STEM.
