MES Senior Product Specialist (m/f/d)
Become part of a team of product specialists/managers with a focus on production IT (Manufacturing Execution System) in a complex and motivating work environment. You are responsible for and ensure that software is developed to a high quality and delivered by contractors. You ensure that project goals are met in terms of time and budget. Several years of experience as a C#/.NET software developer and architect are a basic requirement.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and realize concepts to ensure high quality of externally developed software, working closely with the responsible product managers in an international environment
- You work independently with stakeholders and users from the production environment to record requirements, plan and create work packages independently, support the implementation by third parties and accept the delivered results
- Participate in innovation activities to advance digitalization for Bayer
- Lead and participate in innovation workshops, to ensure that new technologies continuously optimize existing processes
- As a key contact (m/f/d) you work closely with software developers, data scientists, designers and other specialist colleagues of a global digital products team
- Work with product teams to create a development roadmap that will ensure usage and adoption
WHO YOU ARE
- University degree in engineering or natural sciences, computer science, business informatics or comparable qualification, withseveral years of experience as a software developer or many years of equivalent industry experience in a similar role
- Several years of experience and very good knowledge in development with C#, .NET, WPF, ASP.NET, Blazor, JavaScript/TypeScript and a confident handling of web-based technologies in general
- Solid experience in a production environment is desirable
- Very good knowledge of common frameworks, tools and processes (e.g. Visual Studio, Azure Devops, Git, Unit Testing, Angular)
- A good working knowledge of databases and reports (SQL Server, SSRS), web services (REST/oData/SOAP) and other interface technologies is an advantage
- Knowledge in automation products like PCS 7 and SIMATIC Batch or in MES technologies, e.g. Siemens OPCenter, SIMATIC IT, as well as standards for data exchange like OPC UA or comparable are desirable
- Knowledge in the area of SAP R/3 or S/4 HANA
- Ability to lead a cross-functional team and build relationships with development teams and business stakeholders
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
