MES Senior Product Manager (m/f/d)
Become part of a team of product managers with a focus on production IT (Manufacturing Execution System) in a complex and agile work environment. You ensure that the IT products are developed by external companies in the required time, quality and costs. PLT knowledge is an advantage, strong IT knowledge is a must.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- You understand the business strategy needs, the end user needs, market and competitive conditions and distill this into a digital product vision to design and deliver a differentiated offering often catering to multiple business divisions, having broad business impact
- Engage in continuous discovery activities to evolve the digital product strategy to meet changing business needs or to leverage new technologies that will enhance the digital product and deliver better business outcomes
- You partner closely with software engineers, data engineers, designers and other members of the digital product team to direct the development of the digital product considering dependencies of multiple digital products in the ecosystem
- You make decisions regarding the digital product roadmap and priority of items on the digital product backlog leveraging a deep understanding of the business and IT dependencies while balancing investments from multiple business units
- Responsible for the content and quality of the digital product releases, collaborating with IT Product Specialists to establish a launch plan to ensure usage and adoption while balancing the needs of different user groups globally
- You manage stakeholder expectations by effectively communicating the product vision, strategy and roadmap to IT business partners and key business stakeholders
- Ensure appropriate documentation is created to launch and support the digital product
- You monitor user feedback and metrics to drive better user experience and business value
WHO YOU ARE
- University degree in engineering, IT, computer science, business or a related field with several years of experience as a product manager (m/f/d), product specialist (m/f/d), business analyst (m/f/d) or a similar role or many years of equivalent industry experience in a similar role
- Solid experience in a production environment is desirable
- Several years of experience in agile software development
- Knowledge in automation products such as PCS7 and SIMATIC Batch or in MES technologies, e.g. Siemens OPCenter, SIMATIC IT or comparable is desirable
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle
- Strong communication skills and the ability to challenge the status quo and embrace change
- You have a proven ability to lead in a cross-functional team through influence and build relationships with engineering teams and business stakeholders
- You have good problem solving and decision making skills and the ability to support innovation and forward thinking concepts
- Fluent English, both written and spoken
