Lab Head Manufacturing Science & Technology DP - Solids (m/f/d)
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process development and technology transfer related to NCEs (incl. scale-up and validation) and marketed drugs products (national/international)
- Provide scientific and technical expertise to support commercial manufacturing processes
- Plan and evaluate process characterization studies in lab and production scales
- Identify areas of improvements and propose creative solutions for manufacturing issues of solid drug products
- Assessment of API and excipient characteristics and equipment innovations in the field of pharmaceutical technology
- Proactively lead (cross-functional) teams of larger scope (or portions of projects) that manage the identification, development and implementation of process improvements to address strategic objectives in a cGMP regulated manufacturing facility
- Effectively present complex technical information to an audience of varied expertise/level for guidance, education and decision-making
- Communicate effectively across the organization and provide persuasive justifications supported by scientific evidence
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with different functions (production plants, pharmaceutical development, quality control/assurance, regulatory affairs)
WHO YOU ARE
- Pharmacist (m/f/d) with PhD degree, preferably in pharmaceutical technology
- Experienced in managing/supervising technical employees, Master and PhD students
- Experience in pharmaceutical development and/or production of solid drug products, ideally with experience in continuous manufacturing and PAT
- Knowledge in the regulatory field of post approval changes for drug products
- Ability to build trustful relationships and successfully discuss and agree on complex scientific topics with stakeholders and individual functions in a global and cross-functional environment
- Strong intercultural competence and leadership skills
- Ability to focus on multiple issues at one time and to organize and direct diverse activities in a changing environment
- Proactivity and decisiveness
- Fluency in English and German is mandatory
