Head of Chemical Process Development Laboratory (m/f/d)
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and optimize assigned chemical processes for the production of new and established agrochemicals with regard to costs,
quality, process safety and sustainability - Transfer new processes to pilot plant (scale-up) and handover to AI manufacturing plants
- Provide chemical expertise, consultancy and develop quick solutions in troubleshooting for manufacturing plants
- Screen and evaluate chemical literature and patents to secure competitiveness
- Lead interdisciplinary technical project teams during the development phase
- Lead a team of several lab technicians incl. training and development
- Ensure compliance with external and internal rules and regulations
WHO YOU ARE
- PhD in organic chemistry, natural product synthesis or comparable scientific education
- PostDoc and experience in scale-up and improvement of chemical manufacturing processes are an advantage
- Emphasis on leadership skills, ability to lead technical teams, and to understand cross-functional dependencies
- High assertiveness, enjoy working in a team and the ability to guide and develop employees
- High ability to solve problems and to structure and simplify complex tasks
- Ability to effectively challenge the status quo and underlying assumptions to discover new innovations, and the ability to turn ideas
into results - Fluent English and German skills both spoken and written
