Site Engineer (m/f/d)

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, direct and supervise the technical activities and functions on the site in order to meet the objectives as agreed with the site manager
  • Contribute in evaluating and achieving performance goals related to capacity, operability/availability, economy, integrity, quality, health, safety and environment
  • Develop, implement, manage and monitor the site maintenance strategy and activities (inspection, preventive maintenance, repairs) as well as initiate, monitor and track work orders
  • Plan, execute and monitor multiple basic budget/and multiple larger investments and participate in the planning and execution of major investments
  • Responsibility for identifying, evaluating and implementing technical modifications and improvements in the plant (including PCT) as well as conduct troubleshooting of asset, PCT and process problems
  • Up-to-date knowledge about relevant internal and external regulations and assure compliance with technical rules and regulations as well as with company policies, statutes and operational excellence practices
  • Responsibility for creating and maintaining the site technical documentation
  • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant Bayer Group- and subgroup best practices for active application as well as cooperate closely with other site functions, e.g. Operations Technology Support


Who you are

  • Master of science in engineering with an biotechnology background
  • Several years of experience in biologics/microbiology and/or in engineering
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a diverse and global team
  • First indication of leadership skills and ability to foster open dialogue and collaboration among the team
  • Very good analytical ability as well as high ability to solve problems and to structure and simplify complex tasks
  • Being open-minded and challenging the status quo
  • Fluent in English and German both written and spoken
